Last night I watched Bedtime Stories. Hey! Cut me some slack! I've been sick, coughing and feeling crappy and I wanted something mindless. It was mindless, but cute and I enjoyed it.
Friday night I watched Cutthroat Island. I have to admit it. That movie is one of my guilty pleasures. Two hours of silliness and Geena Davis kicking butt. I could see her playing Isabel in the movie version of SASS. Unfortunately no one has approached me on that and while adequate, I don't think Davis's breasts are genetically perfect. _________________

Well, it doesn't count as a movie per se, but I started to watch BBC's "Robin Hood" on DVD.
I have to say I am somewhat disappointed. I mean...it's cute, but not exactly what I expected it to be. Not sure what time slot it's shown in on cable, but I'm guessing its one of the "family viewing" hours. |

I've never found "Robin" to be very charismatic. Nothing against the actor , he's just ..boring. Much and Gisborne are far more intriguing to me. And this new Tuck what the heck.....? He's just so pushy and the audience hasn't been shown his motivations. I'm finding him annoying so far.
The last movies I've seen were Duplicity (boring and slow) Confessions of a shopaholic (very cute and funny plus HUGH DANCY) and Miracle at St Anna (yawn) |

The show is very "campy", more so then I thought it would be, and I agree that Robin seems kinda "blah" (but yes I do like Guy). But I actually I fell asleep while I was watching the series the other night.
Don't know anything about season three, but from the looks of it I won't be watching season two when I'm done with the first season. |

Robin is pretty milk toast in season one, but does begin to grow on a person by the end of the season. Still, I didn't know a person who wasn't rooting for Guy to kick everyone's ass. Especially Marian's. I couldn't stand her! _________________

Season two adds more Gisborne/Marian. It's better than the 1st season, but takes a somewhat shocking turn at the end. Season 3 so far, is darker, less campy the costumes are to die for and a bit more intense.
They do seem to take a lot from Kevin Costner's RH Prince of Thieves.
You could easily skip the 1st season and not really miss much and get to the better parts. It's nothing ground breaking but I do like some beefcake now and then ;) |

Ok, will have to keep that in mind as I'm watching Season 1.

Wow, you didn't like Marian either? I thought I had to be the only one for sure! |

I liked Marian fine. She had moments that I wanted to kick her butt, but for the most part she was ok. I have to say, she was more interesting when she was with Guy than Robin, I just think they had more chemistry.
And I'm beginning to have a little crush on Mutch. |

Hmmm...something about her just really annoyed me, not sure exactly what.
Well since you and shieldmatron seemed to like the series, hopefully I can get through S1 and then revisit how I feel about watching S2. |
